New Patients.

What is involved in starting your orthodontic journey.

Your first visit will include a comprehensive orthodontic examination, a review of any relevant medical and dental history and a discussion of treatment needs.

At this time, we will answer any questions you may have, such as:

Is treatment needed?

When is the best time to start?

How long will it take?

What type of treatment is needed?

Approximately what is the fee?

You will also need to fill in a new patient questionnaire which will include name, address, date of birth, contact numbers, medical and dental history and if applicable, name and address of guardian.

There will be a charge for the Consultation appointment.

Diagnostic Records

If treatment is indicated and it is appropriate to begin treatment immediately, a set of Orthodontic Diagnostic Records will be taken which includes photographs, x-rays and models. Orthodontic records are needed to formulate a treatment plan.

Children who are not ready for orthodontic treatment will be offered a recall appointment to monitor their occlusion. These appointments are scheduled in advance and are usually short visits to record any changes and at no charge (unless an x-ray is taken).

There will be a further charge for the Diagnostic records. Payment is appreciated on the day.
